I drummed my fingers impatiently as I glared straight ahead. The clock continued to tick nervously, the same beat repeating another 5 times before I sighed and closed my eyes. Why I’m the first one to class, I will never understand. I honestly thought I was running late today.

Another tear rolls down my cheek, leaving a trail of salty wetness. He held me tighter against his chest as I clutched the thin material of his shirt. Why can’t I be stronger? Like My Mother? Like My father? Like my team mates?
A pang of sadness at the thought of my team made more tears fall staining his shirt.
